It's 7:10AM right now. I laid both girls down at 5:55PM and still haven't heard a single chirp from either of my little birds. Nothing quite like a 13 hour night.

This is my favorite from my second roll of film. Stay tuned for a recipe this afternoon.

Great picture! Where did you get this crib? It looks sturdy and I want to replace my drop side crib.

Both of the cribs are from Ikea. I think they are called Gulliver. They may not have painted Gullivers anymore. I remember some detail like that. You can take one side off, turning it into a toddler bed -- when the time comes.

Holly, do you have what people call "black-out curtains"? If so, what are they, exactly? My boys, in the summer, can NOT fall asleep until about 9:30 pm. So terrible. I am so tired, because then I end up staying up late to gather my own thoughts until, well, an undisclosed time. They're better in the winter, with the earlier sundown. But anyhow, how do your girls fall asleep when it is still light? And, what is a white noise machine, and do you have one?

Amy, I don't have black out curtains but I've been wanting them for about 2.5 years. We have blinds on the windows which cuts out some light, but I think Marge would fall asleep regardless. She's just plain tired. If I keep her up until 6:30 or 6:45 and then try to lay her down -- NO LUCK, she's up til 8. I've just found a magic window for her. White noise machines just make a whirring sound like a fan without the wind current. Jeff has used one since childhood and got me onto them before we were married. So they've always been in our house! I love them.
