Shhhh.... Christmas Gifts Not Yet Given
Here are some gifts we're giving Margot this year. It's amazing the difference between last year's Christmas and this year's. It all seems very much more exciting. Like most little girls, she loves to do exactly what I do. I've made her a collection of dried grains in an assortment of glass jars. She's been just shaking the jars (lidded) over a play pot or pan and then stirring in the imaginary ingredients. She has cous cous, penne pasta, wild rice, arborio rice, black beans, loose rooibus tea, quinoa, rolled oats, steel cut oats, and garbanzo beans/chick peas. I didn't have any millet on hand but it's coming soon!
We haven't given her this one yet but I can just imagine the delight that will come with it! She has been feeding her "friends" for weeks now with Stella's baby spoons and a baby bottle (pictured above behind the garbanzos). When she sees a high chair just the right size for her friends she will just explode. I found this at a thrift shop in Waco called Laverty's for dirt cheap. It's hard not to give it to her RIGHT NOW!
I'm sure you'll see the high chair more in the very near future. I think we'll give it to her on the 12th day of Christmas since it is certainly the best of her gifts. Other gifts like socks and mittens will be first and second day of Christmas gifts. Still need to find her a baby sized broom because BOY I've been a'sweeping and she wants to join in the fun! Do you know of a good one?
What are you giving your loved ones for Christmas?

I love the new look and the little shaker photo!
she is such a dolly face.
Years ago, we bought an inexpensive broom at the Dollar Store and had Papa cut it down to the right size. Worked great!
